the strange thing about living through a takeoff is that you might not recognize it until you're already in the middle of it. ai is already finding zero-days, designing proteins, proving theorems, building entire games. these are the signs of intelligence becoming a general-purpose engine of discovery and we've barely begun to deploy these capabilities, let alone diffuse them throughout the global economy. this is what the beginning of an intelligence explosion looks like.
