I had a great day at @HumanXCo Amsterdam, which finished with a thoughtful conversation with @alexhern of @TheEconomist about what it really takes to turn frontier AI into measurable business impact.
In FDE we’ve gotten a ton of experience here after 18 months of working with customers to solve their hardest, highest-value problems - our guiding principle is “make it exist first, and scale second”, and that has so far stood the test of time, with harness engineering becoming the norm for our team and the great customers we’ve partnered with.
The main takeaway I wanted to land is that the principles of building enterprise-ready software have not really changed, but the primitives for governance, orchestration and evaluation have evolved, and enterprises can unlock direct value by investing in consistent methods to expose data and specialised systems to agents, and collecting internal evaluation data for their highest-value workflows.
