腾讯拟发50亿美元离岸债券加码AI基建
据Bloomberg报道，腾讯正考虑通过离岸债券发行至多融资50亿美元，以加大AI和计算基础设施投入，债券可能以美元和离岸人民币计价，最快本月初发售。此次募资紧随其6月完成的46.6亿美元债券发行——这是其2020年以来最大规模债务交易，资金用途包括AI开发。随着AI基建支出攀升，大型科技公司正越来越多地依赖外部融资而非自有现金流来支撑建设。
Tencent is reportedly considering raising up to $5 billion through an offshore bond sale, as the Chinese tech giant steps up investment in AI and computing infrastructure.
According to Bloomberg, the bonds could be issued in US dollars and offshore yuan, with a sale potentially taking place early this month.
The potential fundraising follows Tencent’s $4.66 billion bond offering in June, its largest debt deal since 2020. The proceeds were intended for general corporate purposes, including AI development.
As AI infrastructure spending grows, major tech companies are increasingly looking beyond their existing cash flows to finance the buildout. The question is how much of this investment will translate into returns—and how comfortable investors will remain with the growing debt burden.
